The house is built of wood — you feel right at home the moment you step inside. With your own 2,400 m² forest garden and the Drents-Friese Wold behind it. No roads to be heard and more animals than people to be seen in the surroundings. Birds upon waking, squirrels in the garden, deer and more to spot in the woods, and just look up when it is dark and clear: what a display of stars. Inside, a kitchen where cooking is a joy, beds you will love sleeping in, and a sauna waiting for you after a long walk. Whether you come with family to celebrate something, with a group of friends gathering, or as a couple in need of space, peace, and nature, this will be the stay you will reminisce about together for years to come.

Everything you need
Upon arrival, you immediately feel welcome thanks to the warm atmosphere the house exudes. The living room-kitchen is large enough for seven people to be in at the same time without feeling crowded. The kitchen is professionally equipped: a Quooker for boiling water straight from the tap, a combination oven, a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine, and a wine cooler. All the comforts of home, now in nature.
The three bedrooms are each unique in terms of location and decor. The master bedroom on the ground floor has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub — handy if you don't want to go up and down the stairs at night. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. All beds are box-spring beds with M-line mattresses and hotel-quality bedding. You might even sleep better here than at home.
In the living room hangs a large lounge net for the children — high enough to really hang in, sturdy enough for adults to secretly crawl into too. There are dozens of board games, a record player with a collection of LPs, and a television with 38+ channels.

At the national park
A garden of twenty-four hundred square meters already sounds big. And what makes it extra special is what lies behind it: the Drents-Friese Wold, the second largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands. You can walk or cycle straight into nature from the garden.
Can you picture it? Drinking coffee in the morning with a view of the birds and squirrels, and a chance of spotting a deer in the garden or the field across the road. Heading out into nature during the day to recharge your batteries. Afterwards, relaxing in the sauna, on the lounge sofas, or on the huddle net. Having drinks together, cooking, playing games, and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. And in the evening, before going to sleep, stepping outside for a moment to stargaze, with the sound of the wind through the trees. You don't need anything more.

What a lovely place to stay. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cottage. It is situated in a wonderfully quiet location, on the edge of greenery, and you notice that immediately. From the house, we saw deer, storks, all kinds of special birds, and even a squirrel that came to take a look. The house itself is spacious, luxurious, and fully equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are truly beautiful. It is also a delight outside with lovely garden furniture. For us, this was truly a top-notch stay.

Beautiful house fully equipped! Plenty of space, well furnished, comfortable beds and bathrooms, and a lovely kitchen. The sauna was also pure enjoyment.
Views, yet right in the middle of the trees. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with 3 dogs. Various walking routes. We would love to come back!

What a beautiful holiday accommodation. Nothing left to be desired. You won't go wrong. We had a fantastic weekend. Lovely weather and beautiful surroundings. The children had a great time in the hammock, on the swing, running around the house, and in the cabin. We enjoyed lovely walks with the dog. We also saw deer, a buzzard, and a robin visiting every day. I found the location on the website Bijzonder Plekje. It is certainly a special place and worth coming back to.
