A place where you and your children feel immediately at ease. The children entertain themselves — outside in the 2,400 m² forest garden, in the playhouse, on the swing, or lounging in the large indoor lounge net. Or you can take them for a walk or a beautiful climb to an observation tower. And then into relaxation mode. Plenty of time for a book, catching up if you are with another couple of friends, cooking, or a fun movie. And when they are asleep: into the sauna.
What can you expect
The house has three full-sized bedrooms and three bathrooms — no crowding, no queues for the shower. The ground-floor bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The eat-in kitchen is nice and spacious; you can really cook together. Various seating areas inside and out ensure that everyone finds their spot, and the open space allows you to keep an eye on the children—if necessary. The indoor and outdoor dining tables are a central focal point and perfect for delicious meals together. Enjoy the games, the sauna, the beautiful surroundings, and the chirping of birds and the children around you.
The children entertain themselves in the lounge net with UDS connections within easy reach, with the games and comic books, the swing, and the playhouse in the garden. Or you might not see them for a while and relax in one of the hammocks. From the 2,400 m² garden, you are in the forest in just a few steps. Spot birds and deer, and when it is dark and clear: shooting stars. Building a campfire and roasting marshmallows (making Smorres with marshmallows and chocolate cookies) is also a fun activity.

What can you expect
Two to four hundred square meters sounds big. And it is. But what makes it special is what lies behind it: the Drents-Friese Wold, the second-largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands. The garden has no fences at the back. The garden flows straight into nature.
That means you can drink coffee on the terrace in your dressing gown in the morning while a deer walks across the field on the other side. That the children can disappear into the garden and you know exactly that everything is just right. That you can take a half-hour walk through the national park after dinner and then be back home. The terrace faces west. Evening sun, a Kamado BBQ slowly coming up to temperature, and the sound of the wind through the trees. You don't need anything more.

What a lovely place to stay. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cottage. It is situated in a wonderfully quiet location, on the edge of greenery, and you notice that immediately. From the house, we saw deer, storks, all kinds of special birds, and even a squirrel that came to take a look. The house itself is spacious, luxurious, and fully equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are truly beautiful. It is also a delight outside with lovely garden furniture. For us, this was truly a top-notch stay.

Beautiful house fully equipped! Plenty of space, well furnished, comfortable beds and bathrooms, and a lovely kitchen. The sauna was also pure enjoyment.
Views, yet right in the middle of the trees. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with 3 dogs. Various walking routes. We would love to come back!

What a beautiful holiday accommodation. Nothing left to be desired. You won't go wrong. We had a fantastic weekend. Lovely weather and beautiful surroundings. The children had a great time in the hammock, on the swing, running around the house, and in the cabin. We enjoyed lovely walks with the dog. We also saw deer, a buzzard, and a robin visiting every day. I found the location on the website Bijzonder Plekje. It is certainly a special place and worth coming back to.

The holiday home is very conveniently located for a walking and cycling holiday in Drenthe, or a week or weekend away with the children, friends, and/or the dog. It is situated between the Doldersummerveld and Aekingerzand, and between Dwingeloo, Diever, Appelscha, and Zorgvlied.
